Mastarna was an Etruscan leader who reached Rome and rose to power under the name of Servio Tullio, the sixth king (578-539 BC). He was the author of the first and most important military reform that laid the foundations for what became the greatness of the army of the Roman Empire.
This wine, produced from a careful selection of Procanico grapes, is an authentic expression of the area of the Etruscan coast, volcanic and Mediterranean, though the interpretation that the winery has made of the DOC Cerveteri Bianco. A classic wine that is young, fresh and pleasant.
Matching: First and second courses based on boiled or fried fish.
Harvesting by hand allows a careful selection of the grapes, it happens in the last ten days of September.
Thanks to soft crushing and gentle pressing of the skins, only the most noble part of the musts, the free-run juice, is destined to become Mastarna. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is bottled at least two months before consumption, its structure makes it suitable also for long periods of storage.
Straw yellow with greenish hues.
Dry, full and pleasantly harmonious.
